A message for USMNT ⚽️
Anthony Davis 50 bomb 🔥
Colts folded in the fourth 🏈
SGA is in his bag 💼
Welp, it was fun while it lasted. On Saturday, the Netherlands knocked out the U.S. 3-1.
It was a game many believed the United States to have in the bag, but after the U.S. ended up losing, Netherland's forward Memphis Depay had a message for all the haters.
The forward took to Twitter following the win to troll one guy in particular— Charles Barkley— who said the USMNT would come out with the victory, no doubt about it.
Barkley had a whole lot of confidence about the USMNT “opening a can of whoop ass” and guaranteeing a win against the Netherlands. We all know how that turned out.
Barkley set himself up with that one. Depay took full advantage, posting the picture of Barkley along with the final score, and captioned it “Lotta bark, no bite”.
Memphis was talking that talk, but at least was able to back it up. After all, he did set the tone and scored the first goal in the 10th minute, helping bring his team the energy for the rest of the first half.
Let’s talk about the ultimate disrespect though… The guy celebrated his goal by hitting the Antonio Brown dance. USMNT, you really gonna let him do that in y’all face?!
Daley Blind added the second goal that put the Netherlands up 2-0 at the first half. Eventually, the U.S. got one goal in the 76th minute, but their poor defense during the game cost them a lot.
Despite the loss, the USMNT has a lot to be proud of— they haven't reached the quarterfinals since 2002. Christian Pulisic shared a message to fans afterwards: “I hope we gave you some kind of excitement and showed what this country is about, what this team is about.”
Excitement indeed. See you in 2026.
With the internet running with his “Day to Day Davis” nickname, many questioned if Anthony Davis could be consistent enough for the Lakers this season.
One thing is for certain, AD heard all the noise and has stepped up to be that guy for the Lake Show.
In Sunday’s game against the Wizards, the eight-time NBA All-Star had himself a GAME. But, it hasn’t been just one game, the big man has been on a roll. The stats of his last nine games just spell dominant.
Against the Wizards, AD put up 55 points, 17 rebounds, 3 blocks on 22/30 from the field.
He is now the first Laker with back-to-back 40-point games since the late great Kobe Bryant did it back in March 2013.
Btw, the Lakers have won 8 out of their last 10 games — one of which was that statement win against the No. 2 seed in the East, the Bucks. This team is tryna make something shake I see.
The Lakers are currently undefeated on this road trip and sit two games behind the 6th seed in the West. Is this comeback szn for the Purple and Gold?

Just when you thought the Colts could win against the Cowboys, they folded.
The Colts came hungry in the start of the game, scoring 10 points on their first two possessions. By the second half, it was a different story.
A game with five turnovers ain’t gonna get the job done. That led the Colts to their 54-19 loss.
Indianapolis already has 30 fumbles this season, and Matt Ryan has accounted for 14 of them. Just yikes.
In the fourth quarter alone, the Cowboy’s defense forced four straight turnovers on Indy. Dallas also had 33 fourth-quarter points, and by then, it was really game over. Just go home.
It’s never a good thing when your team makes the wrong side of history by allowing the second-most fourth-quarter points in NFL history.

SGA has been in his bag this season.
The Thunder’s point guard has been averaging 31.1 points, 6.1 assists and 4 rebounds, while shooting 50% from the field. In my opinion, he deserves to make this year’s All-Star team.
The former Kentucky hooper has been at the top of many Most Improved candidate lists for this year.
In the coming seasons, I see the 24-year-old being able to carry this young OKC team to more wins especially with the development of players like Josh Giddey, Jalen Williams, and Lu Dort.
The season could have looked a lot different for them if Chet Holmgren wasn't injured, but once the 7- footer returns, he’s sure to help on both ends of the floor, as former No. 2 pick of the NBA Draft.
For now, Shai has been showing what he can do as a leader and a bucket getter. So don’t sleep! The Canadian has a bright future with this franchise and has been a big part of their rebuild.
OKC is already sitting on a mountain of draft picks. I say give them a couple years, and the Thunder might be ready to contend.
