Revenge was on the menu for this NFL team 😈
A look around the NFL, plus NBA players on thin ice 🥶
Today's Rundown:
Revenge was a dish served cold for Kansas City 😏
The Eagles look like the NFC's most dangerous squad 🦅
Will Russ and Ben Simmons stick with their teams this year? 🤔
Quick Hits: We got near misses AND direct hits 🎯
Let's get right into it... The Chiefs vs Bucs game gave us a little flashback to Super Bowl LV, but this time the outcome looked a bit different.
The Chiefs came to play with their offense doing the right things this matchup, after coming off a loss last week against the Colts.
Coach Reid even said the guys cleaned it up and put their foot down. That’s what we like to see.
Mahomes was a big part of the win and came with the flashy highlight of a play– the 360-spin shovel touchdown pass. Making it look so easy…oh and did we mention he passed the 20,000 yard mark in only his 67th game – the fastest ever to do it. Again, slight work, right?

The Eagles are now the only team still soaring high with their undefeated record 🦅
The Jaguars put up a good fight through the rain and proved to be some tough comp. They were the only team in the league ranked top-5 in offense and defense, and their 14 point lead Sunday showed that.
But don’t get too comfortable now.
Philadelphia's tight defense pulled through to help keep them back on top. Pulling off a double digit comeback is what the best of the best do.
Is this the year we stop calling it the NFC Least? 🧐
One more from the NFL because there seems to be a lot of chit chat around Geno Smith. Some fans are loving the move over Russel Wilson, while others seem to be shutting that narrative down and are still riding for Russ.

Geno isn’t looking too shabby to me, and the stats don’t lie. He’s outplaying Russ through the first four games while completing 77.3% of his passes.
I’ll have to wait out a couple more games to see how these comparisons pan out; it’s a bit too early for me to jump the gun. But let's hear your predictions!
Ahh on to the NBA...
If you haven't noticed pumpkin spice everywhere, it's October now. That means NBA games are back in just TWO more weeks 🙏
Let's get right into it...
The Lakers were ready to give Russ the boot. Not like we all didn’t see that one coming, right?
Looks like the purple and gold were trying to trade for the Pacer’s Myles Turner and Buddy Hield. Clearly it didn't work out as hoped for but, like Pelinka, Lakers fans just gotta stay patient for another season.
And then there's Ben Simmons...
After missing an entire season, Ben Simmons is back. A short 470 days later.
It was good to see him, KD, and Kyrie all on the court. The trio showed early chemistry, but it didn’t seem to be enough with the Sixers coming on top with the dub.
Even with the L, I’d still say there’s a lot to be excited for this NBA season especially if you’re a Nets fan.
Parlays just hit different in the air...
