🚨 Trade Alert!

The moment that Laker Nation has all been waiting for!

On Monday, the Lakers picked up Rui Hachimura for Kendrick Nunn and three second-round picks.

Alright now, Lake Show finally got that depth they've been needing! And youth!

This season, the 24-year-old is averaging 13.0 points and 4.3 rebounds while shooting 48.8% from the field and 33.7% from three. He’s sure to help on both ends of the floor with his size and athleticism.

Just recently on Saturday, he showed out with 30 points. Nice little preview performance for LA.

Looks like it’ll be quite the reunion for the forward too. He’ll be linking up with former Wizards teammates including Russell Westbrook, Thomas Bryant, and Troy Brown Jr.

This is a plus given the fact that we’ve seen the connection between Rui and Russ on the floor when they were in Washington.

LA definitely got a win with this trade. I'm not saying this move is going to immediately make the Lakers title contenders, but it does push them in the right direction.

👀 Bronny’s top 3!

There's been a lot of talk over where Bronny will take his talents.

The 18-year-old reportedly has narrowed down his college list to three schools: USC, Oregon, and Ohio State.

We know his dad would love to see him play for the Buckeyes, but LeBron has stated before that Bronny is good enough to go to any college he wants.

Who knows, maybe the Sierra Canyon hooper will just stay local and become a Trojan.

The 6'2'' guard has had a great senior season so far and was recently named a 2023 McDonald's All-American. He's ranked as the No. 38 overall prospect and the No. 7 player in California.

Let’s just get to the decision already since we’re all just waiting for him to reach the NBA to play with his dad anyway!

🔥 Back at it!

Jonathan Isaac returns to the NBA after 2 year injury

New York Post

After 904 days, Jonathan Isaac returns to the NBA court.

Orlando’s forward had been sidelined since August 2020 after suffering a knee injury. Monday night, he entered the game against the Celtics. In his 10 minutes of play, he scored 10 points, with three rebounds, two steals, and one assist.

In the 2019-20 season pre-injury, the 25-year-old was averaging 11.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.6 steals across the 34 games he played.

He was able to prep for his NBA return by playing three games with the G League’s Lakeland Magic.

The fact that he hadn’t played an NBA game since he was 22 and is now 25 is insane. He’s playing with an entirely new roster!

For NBA players who eat, sleep, and breathe basketball, imagine not being able to play ball for that long!

He’ll be back in the swing of things in no time as he gradually ramps up his minutes.

🏀 Shai does it again!

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ends Nugget’s 9-game winning streak

Forbes

Sunday night, OKC snapped the Denver Nugget’s 9-game winning streak.

Denver was already going into the game at a disadvantage since two of their top scorers— Jokic and Michael Porter Jr.— sat out.

Murray had to carry with 26 points, but Shai had a performance of his own with 34 points and the game-winning bucket.

There were 10 seconds left in regulation when the OKC star banked in a jumper to beat the Nuggets 101-99.

Shai may be young, but he has all the confidence and poise. Not only is he averaging 30 points per game, but we’ve also seen how clutch he can be this season.

SGA’s definitely got a high chance at winning the inaugural Clutch Player of the Year Award. This season, he’s 85.7 percent on shots to tie or take the lead in the final minute of the game.

Moral of the story: give the ball to Shai.

👏 An elite stat-line

Caitlin Clark made history wit her eighth triple-double of the season

USA Today

Caitlin Clark went to work on Monday. She helped No. 10 Iowa end No. 2 Ohio State’s 19-game winning streak with their 83-72 win.

There are now only two undefeated teams in DI women's basketball: South Carolina and LSU.

The All-American finished the game with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 15 assists. This was her eighth triple-double of the season, which is a Big 10 record.

With that stat line, she also joins Dwayne Wade as the only two players in D1 History with a triple-double against a top-2 team.

Clark is a force on the court. Teams better figure out how to clamp her up ASAP.
