With college football wrapping up next week, you know I gotta talk about it today. Here's today's rundown:

🏟️ What a game!

USC took a tough 46-45 loss to No. 16 ranked Tulane during their Cotton Bowl matchup.

Tulane scored 16 points in just 4 minutes as the game neared an end. The fourth quarter comeback was something else!

The most talked about play was the six-yard touchdown pass by Michael Pratt to Alex Bauman with nine seconds to go. Pain and shock for Trojan fans.

The extra point was what cemented the Green Wave’s Cotton Bowl victory and will forever be a historic moment for the school.

RB Tyjae Spears came locked in, rushing for 205 yards and 4 touchdowns. He had quite the night and even officially declared for the 2023 NFL draft following the game.

Sorry to say, the SC defense just couldn't bring it. Too many missed tackles for one, but despite the team L, Caleb Williams still put up a top performance himself. The Heisman Trophy winner was 37-for-52 passing for 462 yards with a Cotton Bowl-record of five touchdowns.

Tulane gets to celebrate their thrilling dub after winning a major bowl game for the first time in 88 years. Something to be hyped about forsure.

😤 Luka going full steam ahead

Luka is not taking his foot off the gas anytime soon. The Mavs’ star has been named NBA Western Conference player of the month. That’s just a no-brainer.

He averages 35.1 points per game, 9.3 assists per game, 8.5 rebounds per game. He’s even led his team to a 7-game winning streak.

Not to mention, the 23-year-old is the first player in league history with 95 points, 20 rebounds, and 20 assists over a 2-game span. Unreal.

Not even Coach Pop and the Spurs were able to stop Luka. Before the Spurs went head-to-head against the Mavs, Pop said his team was gonna hold Luka under 50. Nice try…Luka put up 51 just for that.

This guy sure puts the DON in Doncic.

🔥 Spida went off!

Let’s take a minute to talk about Donovan Mitchell. What he did Monday night against the Bulls was just crazy.

Spida led his team to a 145-134 OT win with 71 points, 8 rebounds, and 11 assists.

He’s the first player in NBA history to have 70 points and 10 assists in a game. He tweeted out “New Year New Me 71 of them thangs.” The three-time NBA All-Star definitely came into 2023 with a statement.

Even King James paid his respects, tweeting “You're insane”

It was too much of an insane performance, the team just so happened to be drug tested the next day, Mitchell said. What a coincidence.

I’m pretty sure the results will only show that Donovan Mitchell is 100% HIM.

🏈 A Cheez-it Bowl Blowout

LSU beat down on Purdue 63-7 in the Citrus Cheez-it Bowl matchup.

Right off the bat, you knew LSU came to annihilate. Purdue’s offense just really didn’t have any fire until it was too late. The Tigers already had a 35-0 lead at halftime.

By the time Purdue finally got to the end zone, the score was 49-0.

It was clear that the Boilermakers felt the absence of several different role players like their QB Aidan O’Connell and WR Charlie Jones.

I can’t lie, if I were the Tigers, I too, would be celebrating with Ched-Z the Cheez-it mascot. The victory was a great way to cap off their 10-win season and not at all bad for Brian Kelly’s first year.

The bar is set for LSU football coming into 2023.
