😬 The Cowboys finally take one from Brady

Dak Prescott helped the Cowboys snatch a 31-14 win over the Bucs, giving them their first road playoff victory in 30 years.

Prescott finished the night 25 of 33 for 305 yards with four touchdowns and zero interceptions. He also became one of five players with four-plus passing touchdowns and at least one rushing touchdown in a playoff game.

It was clearly a big game for the Cowboys' QB, so let’s try to forget about Brett Maher's not-so-big game, as he went 0-for-4 on extra points. He made an NFL record with that one.

America’s favorite team will have to get ready for Purdy and the 49ers this weekend. SF is ready for all the comp. Deebo already made it known that the 49ers are still in this thing and are gonna keep dancin.

Tom Brady on the other hand won't be on to the next, as he took his first L to the Cowboys. To go undefeated against that team up until this point in the playoffs is super tough.

He ended the night 35-of-66 with 351 passing yards and two touchdown passes and a red-zone interception.

We all know the question on everyone’s minds: is this it for the 7-time Superbowl Champ? Many are saying for him to just retire, especially after a first-round loss like that.

The 45-year-old could tie the knot on his career, or go for another season. There’s reportedly several teams interested in Brady for the 2023 season, but he did say in Monday’s postgame press conference that he would take some time to decide on his future.

Time will only tell.

👏 Bron keeps chasing records!

LeBron James gets 38,000 career points

NPR

On Sunday, LBJ made history by becoming the second player ever in the league to score 38,000 career points.

Fans have been waiting for him to reach Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s No. 1 spot for much of this season. James is less than 400 points away from the record. As he steadily averages 29 points per game, he’ll get there in no time.

If we do some math, he could possibly reach the milestone in 14 games or less at the rate of his PPG average.

On Sunday against the 76ers, the four-time NBA champ had 35 points, and in Monday night’s game against the Rockets, he went off for 48 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds.

Of all the accolades he’s achieved— from Rookie of the Year to MVP — Bron previously said that this particular scoring record wasn’t even a goal of his or a thought he had in mind when he first entered the league.

Decades later, at 38 years old, this guy is still a problem.

We’ll be crowning the King soon enough.

⛹️ Tar Heels got a good one.

Ian Jackson commits to University of North Carolina

SBLive

UNC snatched five-star guard, Ian Jackson, off the table.

On Monday, the junior announced his commitment to North Carolina on ESPN with ESPN's Recruiting Director Paul Biancardi at the HoopHall Classic.

The 6’5’’ player is the nation's No. 2 ranked shooting guard and No. 3 prospect in the 2024 class of 2024.

He ultimately chose UNC over other top schools like Kentucky, LSU, Oregon, and Arkansas.

The Tar Heels are loading up. They got other nationally-ranked prospects like Elliot Cadeau, James Brown, and Drake Powell already committed as well.

Jackson is the highest-rated player to commit to UNC since Harrison Barnes in 2010, and the highest-rated shooting guard to commit since Wayne Ellington.

With Jackson’s goal to enter the NBA draft after one year at UNC, he’s certainly following the right path of many Tar Heel alum that made their way to the league.

👀 Jayson Tatum put on a show!

Jayson Tatum drops 51 against the Hornets

USA Today Sports

On Monday, Tatum put up 51 points, including 7 three pointers to secure the dub against the Hornets.

Tatum actually almost ended the night with less points though. There was about a minute left in the game when he had 48 points and initially thought about just letting the clock run.

Something Jamal Crawford previously told him was in the back of his mind though. The three-time Sixth Man of the Year texted him earlier this season after Tatum ended the night with 49 points against Heat.

Tatum said “Jamal texted me after the game and he's like, ‘If you’re ever that close to 50, nobody is going to remember the time and score, they're just going to report if you got 50 or not.”

The three-time NBA All-Star took that to heart and went after it. All or nothing. 50 does have a better ring to it than 48 or 49.

With 38 seconds left, the Celtics star drained a 3-pointer to leave him with a season-high 51 points. This was the fifth 50 piece of Tatum's career, which puts him right above Larry Bird for most 50-point games in Celtics history.

Tatum’s currently in the top 3 of the MVP race. Do you think he’ll take it over guys like Luka or the Joker?
