Patrick Mahomes DID IT AGAIN! The Kansas City Chiefs are Super Bowl champions! Mahomes was a magician on a bad ankle and was the difference in the game.
The Philadelphia Eagles DOMINATED the first half.
They had the ball for 22 minutes and lead the game at halftime by 10 at 24-14.
The Eagles were running the ball down Chiefs’ throats, AND Patrick Mahomes went down in pain after re-aggravating his ankle injury.
The Chiefs scored their two first-half touchdowns with a TD pass to Travis Kelce and another off a fumbled hand-off from Jalen Hurts. Then they flipped a switch for the second half.
The Chiefs didn’t blink and opened up the second half with a touchdown.
Kansas City scored again to open the 4th quarter and take the lead for the first time.
They then scored on their next two possessions to end the game.
The Chiefs DOMINATED the second half and scored on every possession and held the Eagles to 11 points.
The Eagles came in with a game plan to play keep away from Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense and it backfired in the second half. They had long drives only ending in two field goals before finally getting a touchdown to tie the game in the 4th quarter.
What sucks is that this was an amazing Super Bowl overshadowed by the defensive holding call at the end of the game. The call itself was probably right, BUT the issue is that it’s near the end of the SUPER BOWL and decided who won the game from there.
The game took center stage, but Rihanna gave us a halftime show for the ages, while being pregnant no less too!
Let’s not forget about the commercials too, from Tubi faking everyone out, to a Breaking Bad reunion, a funny spoof ad from Ford, and a handful of movie trailers!
The Kansas City Chiefs are Super Bowl Champions and cap off an unbelievable NFL season with an instant classic for a Super Bowl! Till next season!

Kevin Durant is a Phoenix Sun 😎
Kevin Durant traded to the Suns 🔥
Are the Suns championship contenders? 👀

It was the trade heard around the NBA world. Kevin Durant is now a Phoenix Sun. The Suns gave up a TON to get him, really going all in this year.
The trade consisted of Jae Crowder, Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, and FOUR 1st round picks being sent to the Nets in exchange for Kevin Durant and TJ Warren.
The Suns were rumored throughout the NBA off-season as being in the mix for Kevin Durant, but nothing was ever official and Durant went back to Brooklyn.
The biggest key in all of this is that the Suns have a new owner, Matt Ishbia, after Robert Sarver was embroiled in a scandal involving a toxic workplace. Ishbia was set up as the new owner in Phoenix for JUST 24 hours, and helped pull off this blockbuster!
The Suns officially have a championship window with this current roster as this year and next. They are also officially over the luxury tax with Ishbia having to pay a whopping $40 MILLION.
What do you think of the trade? Did the Suns give up too much or is it worth it?

Russell Westbrook is no Longer a Laker 👀

The Russell Westbrook experiment finally ended in LA. It never seemed like a good fit, and the Lakers trading him away was them finally admitting it didn’t work.
The trade was a three-team deal that sent Westbrook to Utah, while the Lakers got D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and Jarred Vanderbilt from both Minnesota and Utah.
Westbrook has become a big liability in today’s NBA because of how bad he is at shooting the ball from three-point range and from the free throw line. He also has lost a step athletically and hasn’t been his usual dominant self on defense either.
There’s nothing official yet, but there’s an expectation that Westbrook will be bought out of his contract and be able to sign with whatever team he wants after that.
The Lakers upgraded their roster pretty well with this trade and other moves. They added much needed defense and three-point shooting, but most of all added another playmaker to help take the load off of LeBron and AD.
Did the Lakers get the best possible deal for Westbrook? Are the Lakers now on track to make the playoffs?
#1 Purdue goes down 🚨

The college basketball season of chaos continues. Just when it seemed like Purdue was starting to separate itself from the pack they went and laid an egg and lost to Northwestern.
Northwestern was hovering around the bubble, but with this win they might’ve cemented themselves as going to the big dance in March.
Zach Edey was his usual dominant self and scored 24 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, but he turned it over 6 times too. They just didn’t shoot the ball well, with only one other player for Purdue hitting double digits.
The loss by Purdue was the cherry on top of a weekend that saw five different ranked teams lose.
March can’t get here soon enough!
