🏈 Jags punch their ticket to the postseason!

Jacksonville Jaguars win the AFC South

Click for more reactions to Jags win

On Saturday against the Tennessee Titans the Jags pulled off a 20-16 victory. This will be their first postseason appearance since 2017!

Saturday’s game came down to the wire. All the action came in the fourth quarter. After Rayshawn Jenkins stripped Joshua Dobbs from behind, Josh Allen ran the loose ball back 37 yards for the game-winning TD.

At that point, there was a little less than 3 minutes left in the game and that single play sent the Jags to the playoffs. That was probably right around the time all of Jacksonville went crazy, too.

It was Jacksonville’s defense that came on top in this close game. While the Jags went off in the second half, the Titans on the other hand, went quiet. Trevor Lawrence helped out in completing 20 of 32 passes for 212 yards and one touchdown, plus Christian Kirk had 99 yards and a touchdown on six catches.

Jacksonville was able to kill a 10-0 deficit as they went on a 13-3 run in the second half. They did not back down.

Now, the Jags are riding on a five-game winning streak. I’m sure they’re liking the view a lot better this time around compared to where they were at last season. For the second time ever, the Jacksonville Jaguars are AFC South champions.

Are they ready for playoff primetime?

📈 Markkanen has hit another level

Lauri Markkanen is working towards an All-Star spot

Lauri Markkanen had a near 50-point game Thursday night. Against the Rockets, he had a career-high 49 points and eight rebounds to help snap his team’s five-game losing streak.

The man was unstoppable and has proved himself this season. But, is it enough to get an All-Star spot?

Markkanen is the sixth player in Jazz franchise history to record a 49-point game and has consistently brought an offensive spark for Utah.

The 7-footer has the physicality to score in different ways on the court whether that be a dunk or a 3-pointer. This season, he's putting up 24.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. Plus, he’s 18th in the league in scoring.

With Salt Lake City hosting All-Star Weekend, I think Markkanen would be one perfect player to rep the host city.

🔥 This rookie is comin' in hot!

Paolo Banchero is leading Rookie of the Year

Speaking of All-Stars…Is Paolo Banchero an All-Star in the East?

This season, the power forward ranks in the top five in points, rebounds, assists, and steals per game among all rookies.

That’s how you comin’ Paolo?? Yeah, he means business.

In December, Banchero was showing out. He averaged 19.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game all while shooting 40.7% from the field, 33.9% from three-point range, and 78.2% from the free-throw line.

His play has even got King James talking. After the Lakers and Magic went up against each other last month, James said Banchero has been playing great ball as a three-level scorer and will only get better as time goes on.

The 20-year-old is hands down at the top of the Rookie of the Year ladder, but is it enough to earn an All-Star position too?

🏀 LA rivalry teams went head-to-head!

UCLA beats USC in rivalry matchup

Robert Gauthier / Los Angeles Times

This game came down to the final minutes!

UCLA was up by as much as 18 points during the game, but USC cut down the lead and led by two points with 19 seconds left. Their 2-point lead was short lived though...

UCLA junior guard’s Jaylen Clark was open from three with 15 seconds left and just like that, the Bruins prevailed with the 60-58 victory.

Even with Clark’s clutch shot of the game, he admitted that the win wasn't a performance they’re really proud of; the team lucked out.

Though UCLA is a deep team, turnovers can get to them. As solid as they are on both ends of the floor, turnovers may not be that much of a problem as they progress, but always something to tighten up on.

UCLA is now on an 11-game winning streak. How far do you think they can go this season?
